- BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Your key skills should cover:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Quicksight/Tableau etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Required skills
- 3-4 years using T-SQL on SQL Server
- 2-3 years working with data warehouse solutions
- 1-2 years designing or building ELT’s/ETL’s
- Effective communication and requirements gathering skills

Your day-to-day:
- Create SQL based reports using SQL Server backend and tools such as QuickSight and Tableau
- Design and create OLAP data warehouse schemas for historical reporting
- Utilise unstructured data in the data lake for cross-technology reporting
- Design ELT\ETL’s to hydrate our data warehouse and reporting systems
- Create ad-hoc reports against our databases using T-SQL
- Redesign and refactor our existing reports for more efficiency and consistency
- Work with the engineering team to ensure that reporting requirements are built into new requirements
- Creation and iteration of reports to serve business functions including, sales, operations, tech and finance
- Analysis of customer behaviour and deliver insights to enable better service of the customer
- Identify opportunities and areas of improvement across the business through data-driven analysis
- Improve the functioning and creation of the database(s) to improve performance and develop data points for analysis
- Assist in preparation of Board and Shareholder reports as necessary
- Provide analysis and data insights to assist the capital raising efforts of the business
