Photo London 2022
Get ready to experience the very best of the past, present and future photography at Photo London 2022!
Happening from the 12th to the 15th of May at Somerset House, the event will feature leading international galleries and solo presentations by acclaimed and rising talents, plus talks and workshops taking place across the city.
Other exhibitors returning to Photo London include Goodman Gallery (Cape Town, Johannesburg and London) showing multi-media artist Mikhael Subotzky, Reflex (Amsterdam) bringing Todd Hido’s subversive work, Persons Projects (Berlin) presenting conceptual photographer Grey Crawford and Tina Itkonen’s dreamlike arctic landscapes and many more!
New to the Fair is the PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai Presents section featuring works by leading galleries and artists from China including Three Shadows +3 Gallery (Beijing, Xiamen), Matthew Liu Fine Arts (Shanghai), Gaotai Gallery (Urumqi) and HdM GALLERY (Beijing, London).
Other first time exhibitors include Jean Kenta Gauthier (Paris), GBS Fine Art (Somerset), Galerie Podgorny Robinson (Saint Paul de Vence), The Gallery of Everything (London), Olivier Waltman Gallery (Paris) and Nil Gallery.
There are also a lot of insightful talks in store for you in this year’s edition of Photo London.
The Talks Programme will be curated by renowned author, curator, professor, and museum director William A. Ewing , featuring artist Anastasia Samoylova in conversation with writer, curator, artist, and educator David Campany.
Scottish documentary photographer Polly Braden and writer and art critic Hettie Judah will discuss topics raised in Polly’s work Holding the Baby, plus visual artist Melanie Manchot will talk to Dr David Dibosa about her multifaceted and performative practice that embraces photography, film, video, and installation.
Plus, there will also be a series of workshops for photography aficionados conducted by Nikon School trainers, Neil Freeman and Ricci Chera. Choose between a Film Noir or a High Fashion Portrait workshop!
