Somerset House SKATE Ice Rink
Herald the start of the festive period with one of the capital’s favourite winter experiences.
After being cancelled last year, SKATE at Somerset House is back.
This year, SKATE is partnering with Moët & Chandon, promising a spectacular season of celebration in the heart of London.
Expect an unrivalled skating experience at the neoclassical William Chambers courtyard and marvel at the 40 ft. Christmas tree with sparkling decorations.
Not that confident with your skating skills? No worries.
You can book a chilled out session to take your first steps on ice in a more relaxed setting.
The background music will be at lower levels and there will be a Skate Return area which can serve as a chill-out space if you need to take a break from the rink during your session.
After skating, you can head over to Chalet Barragiste by Chef Jimmy Garcia, a pop-up alpine restaurant where you can enjoy four types of fondue for sharing, charcuterie platters, burgers and more.
You can also upgrade your experience with skate extras that you can purchase together with your tickets. You can choose from the following packages:
– S’mores & Boozy Hot Chocolate (£25 for two people, when purchased with Skate tickets)
– Salmon & Champagne (£32 for two people, when purchased with Skate tickets)
– Wine & Fondue (£68 for two people, when purchased with Skate tickets)
– Champagne & Fromage (£100 for two people, when purchased with Skate tickets)
If you would rather chill with a drink, you can have champagne and cocktails at the Moët & Chandon Skate Lounge or choose from a wide range of hot chocolate options at the Hotel Chocolat Chocomobile.
